Children’s Dental Emergency Paris 16th | Dr Maëlle Ghazali
Trauma and Child Dental Emergencies in Paris 16th
Urgent dental care for children can involve temporary teeth (baby teeth) or permanent teeth.
Following dental trauma (damaged teeth) and a child in pain, parent(s) and child are often particularly stressed.
Contact us immediately: Dr Ghazali and her team will do their best to treat your child quickly, appropriately and sympathetically.
What should I do if my child suffers dental trauma?
- If it's a completely loosened permanent tooth (completely expelled from its socket) : don't wash the tooth, don't put it back in its socket and don't wear it by the root, only by the crown. Keep the whole loosened tooth in saliva, milk or saline. Contact the practice immediately by telephone, text message or e-mail to have the tooth re-implanted as soon as possible.
- In the case of a fractured permanent tooth (broken tooth) : preserve the fragment(s) in saliva, milk or saline. Immediately contact the practice by phone, text message or e-mail to arrange treatment.
- if it's a baby tooth : never replace a baby tooth and contact the practice immediately within 24 hours. Stop using a bottle, teat or thumb and opt for a liquid or soft diet. You can clean the area with a specific local antiseptic.
